The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB Recorded 357 prison inmates as Candidate for 2017 UMTE out of the 1.7 million candidates that will sit for exam staring from Saturday 13th April 2017.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede disclosed this at a news conference on Friday in Abuja. The professor said that the UTME examination scheduled for May 13 have not been postponed.

Following the  reports of various challenges that vitiated the previous conduct of its examination, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has said that operatives of the Nigeria Police, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related offences Commission, ICPC, will monitor the examination centres in the forthcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UMTE.
