Huawei Watch – The Huawei watch is built in such a way that it’s desirable to behold, stunning and and really exquisite. It seems to be the best and most expensive smartwatch out there in the market but could have been much better at a lower price and GPS support.
Chinese tech giants Huawei have recently released and Android wear smartwatch. The company chose to refer to the stylish android wear as the Huawei Watch.
Huawei Watch – Price
Huawei products have been known to be quality yet cheap but that doesn’t seem to be the case of the Huawei Watch.
There are various models at different prices the cheapest ones beginning at about £289 and the more impressive models cost about £329.
More expensive than the Apple Watch, the Huawei Watch is the most expensive Android Wear smartwatch in the market and seems like the best looking so far.
Huawei Watch Review: Design
Available in white, black and gold, the Huawei Watch offers you two different straps to choose from – either leather or stainless steel. The device has a premium look although it’s a bit chunky at 11.3mm. The dust-proof device can survive 1m of water for up to 30mins.
Huawei Watch – Hardware
The Premium looking android wear has standard smartwatch hardware specs. Apart from having various sensors like hear rate monitor, barometer and accelerometer, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and Bluetooth 4.1.
The screen has a notable resolution of 400×400. At 286ppi, it has the highest pixel density we’ve seen on and android wear device yet.
The very responsive screen has plenty of brightness to offer if need be, but as expected how you choose to use the screen would to a large extent determine how long the battery would last.
The screen is set to ‘always on’ by default although it will dim and change the watch face to a stripped back version. This way, Huawei claims the battery will last you roughly one and half to two days. If however you choose to switch off the screen, you just might get as much as double the battery life.
The Huawei Watch comes pre-loaded with Google Fit to enable fitness tracking. For those who want proper tracking, it’s sad the device doesn’t have GPS feature, you might just need to look elsewhere.
Huawei Watch – Software
The Huawei watch comes with the latest Android Wear OS version. It offers Wi-Fi support, contact list and a proper app launcher. It is also important to note that the Huawei watch is iOS compatible – the Huawei Watch can be used with an iPhone.
